Fascias soffits guttering and down pipes

At D&C Roofing we have been installing upvc fascias, soffits and guttering for domestic customers in Blackpool and the Fylde for nearly 20 years. Over that time I have seen some horrific jobs carried out by so called roofline companies who totally disregard the way the actual building & roof work such things as over cladding and not allowing for the fact the tiles or slates have less overhang when the gutter is stepped out by the thickness of the new fascia coursing rainwater to run off the roof and behind the guttering coursing the timber backing to rot. Or windows that no longer open because of the extra length of the new fascia

At D&C Roofing we do Recommend Fascia and Soffit Boards should be removed - Not capped over but do understand the extra cost involved and are quite happy to over clad but will insist on treating all timber and replacing any rotted or damaged sections and re-fixing original timber so the new fascia & soffits have a sound backing to fix to

In many cases the eaves tiles or slates will need adjusting or eaves carriers inserting to direct rainwater into the guttering. Some jobs may also need venting either an eaves vent or a soffit vent as all timber will hold some degree of moister which could lead to it rotting
